Random Number Generator
Generate random numbers in any range — one or many, with optional no-repeats.
How to use
- Set the minimum and maximum of your range.
- Choose how many numbers to generate.
- Tick 'No repeats' for unique values, then Generate.
How the Random Number Generator works
Generates random numbers within a range, for draws, sampling, games and testing.
Values are drawn using the browser's cryptographic random source and mapped onto your chosen inclusive range, so every value in the range is equally likely.
result ∈ [min, max], each value equally likely
Worked example
A range of 1 to 100 returns any integer in that span, endpoints included.
Things worth knowing
- Randomness is generated locally and is not reproducible — there is no seed, so results cannot be replayed or predicted.
- True randomness clusters. Repeats in a short run are expected, not a sign of a broken generator.
Frequently asked questions
Are the numbers truly random?
They use the browser's built-in random generator, which is suitable for everyday picks, draws and games.
Can I generate numbers with no duplicates?
Yes — tick the 'No repeats' option to get unique values across your range.
Is this suitable for a prize draw?
For informal draws, yes. Regulated lotteries require audited, certified randomness sources.
