Random Wheel Spinner
Add your options and spin the wheel to pick a fair, random winner.
How to use
- Type your options, one per line.
- Press Spin the wheel.
- The winner is shown when the wheel stops — every option is equally likely.
How the Random Wheel Spinner works
A spinning wheel for picking randomly from a custom list — for classroom activities, giveaways, team rotations and settling decisions.
Entries are laid out as equal segments around the wheel, and the winning segment is chosen using the browser's cryptographic random source. The animation is presentation; the outcome is decided by the draw.
Worked example
A wheel of eight names gives each a 12.5% chance on every spin.
Things worth knowing
- Every entry has an equal chance unless you deliberately add duplicates to weight it.
- Each spin is independent, so a name can come up twice in a row. Remove entries between spins if you need selection without replacement.
Frequently asked questions
Is the spin fair?
Yes — the landing position is random, so each entry has an equal chance.
How many options can I add?
As many as you like; the wheel resizes its slices automatically.
Can I weight some entries more heavily?
Add the entry multiple times. Three copies among ten total entries gives it a 30% chance.
