Find and Replace Text
Find and replace text, with optional case-insensitive matching and regex support.
How to use
- Paste your text.
- Enter what to find and what to replace it with.
- Toggle case-insensitive or regex mode, then copy the result.
How the Find and Replace Text works
Performs bulk find-and-replace across a block of text, with case sensitivity and whole-word options.
The search term is located throughout the text and each occurrence is substituted. Case-sensitive matching requires exact capitalisation; whole-word matching avoids hitting substrings inside longer words.
Worked example
Replacing 'cat' with 'dog' without whole-word matching also changes 'category' to 'dogegory' — which is exactly why the option exists.
Things worth knowing
- Enable whole-word matching whenever the search term could appear inside a longer word.
- Replacement is not undoable here — keep the original if it matters.
- Text is processed locally and never uploaded.
