Text Case Converter
Convert text between UPPERCASE, lowercase, Title Case and Sentence case.
How to use
- Type or paste your text.
- Pick a case style.
- Copy the converted text.
How the Text Case Converter works
Converts text between upper, lower, title, sentence, camel, snake and kebab case — for renaming variables, fixing pasted headings and normalising data.
Text is split into words on whitespace, punctuation and existing case boundaries, then rejoined using the target convention's separator and capitalisation.
camelCase · PascalCase · snake_case · kebab-case · Title Case · Sentence case
Worked example
'hello world example' becomes helloWorldExample in camel, hello_world_example in snake, and hello-world-example in kebab.
Things worth knowing
- Conventions by ecosystem: snake_case in Python and SQL, camelCase in JavaScript and Java, kebab-case in CSS and URLs, PascalCase for classes and components.
- Title case rules differ between style guides on which short words to capitalise. There is no single correct answer.
Frequently asked questions
What is Title Case?
Title Case capitalises the first letter of each word — common for headings.
Does it change my original text?
No — it only shows a converted copy you can grab.
What is the difference between camelCase and PascalCase?
PascalCase capitalises the first letter too. camelCase starts lowercase. Many languages use PascalCase for types and camelCase for variables.
Why does kebab-case dominate URLs?
Search engines treat hyphens as word separators but underscores as joiners, so hyphens make each word independently searchable.
